Bass Cat and Yamaha played a major role in bringing the first-ever Pro-Guide Hope Classic to life. Their support helped fuel the event, the fundraising momentum, and the impact made for the children and families of St. Jude.
One of the biggest highlights of the Hope Classic was the Bass Cat boat powered by Yamaha giveaway — a major moment that helped build excitement and drive fundraising support throughout the event.
From the kickoff dinner drawing to the winner announcement, the giveaway brought the crowd together and gave the fishing community one more reason to rally behind St. Jude.

In the spring of 2022, Truman Shumaker was diagnosed with leukemia, leading the Shumaker family to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis for treatment.
After experiencing firsthand the care, compassion, and hope St. Jude provides, the Shumaker family knew they wanted to find a way to give back. The Pro-Guide Hope Classic was created to turn a love for fishing into hope for children and families who need it most.
From the Friday night kickoff dinner to tournament morning blastoff and Saturday weigh-in, anglers, families, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters showed up with one purpose in mind: making a difference for the children and families of St. Jude.
Teams, families, and partners gathered to celebrate the mission behind the first-ever Hope Classic.
