Pro-Guide Pros Push Through Chaos and Come Out on Top

Another stop on the Bassmaster Elite Series, and another tournament that proved just how demanding this level of competition can be.

The Arkansas River challenged anglers in every possible way. Unpredictable weather rolled through all week, including severe storms and even tornado threats, forcing competitors to stay alert and adaptable at all times. On top of that, time management became a major factor with lock systems in play, adding another layer of pressure to an already difficult event. This wasn’t just about finding fish... it was about managing conditions, making smart decisions, and executing under constant stress.

Rising Above the Conditions

In a tournament like this, success doesn’t come from momentum, it comes from consistency and composure.

Austin Felix put together an incredible performance, finishing 2nd against one of the toughest fields of the season. In conditions where opportunities were limited and every decision carried weight, he stayed steady and capitalized when it mattered most. Right behind him, Fisher Anaya delivered a strong Top 5 finish, proving his ability to adjust and stay locked in throughout a constantly changing tournament.

These weren’t easy finishes. They were earned through patience, discipline, and making the most out of every single opportunity on the water.

Strength Across the Field

What stood out even more was the depth of the Pro-Guide team across the leaderboard.

Multiple anglers pushed through the same demanding conditions and secured Top 50 finishes, including Carl Jocumsen, Bob Downey, Brian Schmidt, Stetson Blaylock, and Tyler Rivet. In a tournament where simply navigating each day clean was a challenge, having this many anglers perform at a high level speaks to the consistency and resilience of the entire team.

It’s one thing to have a standout finish, it’s another to show up across the board.

Rookie of the Year Race Tightens

The race for Bassmaster Rookie of the Year continues to take shape, and this event added even more movement to the leaderboard.

After the Arkansas River, Caleb Hudson remains in the lead with 317 points, but the gap is far from comfortable. Fisher Anaya’s strong finish this week helped push him up to 2nd with 252 points, gaining serious ground in the standings. Tristan McCormick holds onto 3rd with 218, while Pake South sits just behind in 4th with 207.

What once looked like a wider separation is quickly turning into a tight race, with momentum shifting and every event carrying more weight. With multiple Pro-Guide anglers in the mix and performing at a high level, this race is far from over.

At Pro-Guide, we’re proud to support not only the legends of the sport—but the future of it as well.

Built for the Grind

The Arkansas River didn’t reward comfort or routine. It required anglers to adapt quickly, manage their time with precision, and stay mentally sharp from takeoff to weigh-in.

Long runs, tight lock schedules, and constantly shifting conditions meant there was no room for hesitation. Every decision had to be intentional, and every moment had to count. In these situations, preparation becomes everything. When anglers can rely on their setup without question, they’re free to focus on execution, and that’s what separates good finishes from great ones.

This Is What We Build For

Tournaments like this define anglers and teams alike. They expose weaknesses, demand adjustments, and ultimately reward those who can stay composed when things get tough.

The Arkansas River tested the field, and the Pro-Guide team answered. From Austin Felix’s near win to multiple strong finishes across the board, it’s another reminder of what this team is capable of when the pressure is on.

This is what we build for.
